Zac Posen Spring 2012 | Mermaid Style Gowns | Mermaid Wedding Dresses.

He’s a genius.  ‘Nuff said.  Beautiful, colorful, sexy, and yet he still manages to keep classic lines and silhouettes!   I am struggling finding something that I feel totally sure is what I want.  I’ve been toying with the idea of not wearing white at all! I know I don’t want ‘WHITE’ in the purest form of the color, but I keep finding myself drawn to ivory, champagne, and now, other color options, too! These are fun discounted dresses found at The Outnet

oxford shoes (part one)

Okay, these are more ‘Mary Jane’ than Oxford, but it’s what gave birth to this post.  Seeing these made me start doing some shopping around for something more interesting than the standard white wedding shoe.  And I need to stay pretty low to the ground, I’m already pretty close in height to the Fiance.  These are sweet, but wait til you look some more.  (and don’t forget about part two- they bring a bit more color to the picture!)  above photo via poptasticbride

Farm wedding – DIY chalkboard glassware

My wedding in September is held at a gorgeous location in West Virginia and the reception is in a rustic old barn.  I am trying to rack my brain with some interesting way to have the ‘escort cards’ without having escort cards.  There will be a names at each place setting, and I think this is a great idea, and it’s DIY (see below!).  My wonderful Lover is planning to brew up some dry hard apple (or pear) cider, and we’re featuring beer from our friends’ local brewery.  I like this idea, but I’m concerned the chalk will rub off throughout the night. Thoughts?   via Farm Wedding Inspiration | Elizabeth Anne Designs: The Wedding Blog

Here’s the HOW-TO……….

Use painter’s tape to create the area you want for the chalkboard.

Spay with chalkboard spraypaint.

When dry, remove tape and hand wash.

‘Shabby Apple’ styles Alice in Wonderland

 Bridesmaid dress?

By some divine intervention, I happened upon the Shabby Apple online this morning.  Groggy eyed with coffee still in hand, I thought I was in Wonderland.  Ok, maybe not, but I was giddy and delighted to share these from the Mad Hatter collection!  Featured here are Alice ($88, above), and (below) the Mad Hatter ($88), the Red Queen ($88) and the adorable I’m Late! I’m Late! dress ($94)- which is already limited to size 6 and 8, but accepting preorders for other sizes.  Do yourself a favor and look through the rest of the Alice collection here.
